day15 - Taking advantage of a rare nice day.

Day15- Nice weather out, so up on the jacks she goes.

Day15- "...gonna shave 1/2 an inch off you and shape you like a bullet. You gonna be perfect."

Day15- Just a lot a lotta work in here. Cannot go very far without any help and we have a rule of nothing done under
the car when nobody else is home.

Day15- Took this famous harness out. might need portions of it grafted onto the sedan harness if i do not locate
something more direct.

Day15- Pulled this as well. Debating on keeping the heat portion.

Day15- Bout as bare you can get.

Day15- Well then this came out and i thought i'd take some time to shed some pounds. not sure how much but lets just see.
Also doing so for rust inspection.

Day15- Scrap away!!!

Day15- Front kick panel done.

Day15- Fair amount of this stuff in here.

Day15- Here is the worst of it, usually the case for most.

Day15- Much better, primer held up for most all of it.

Day15- Well just about done.

Day15- Tranny tunnel done and those random pieces of rubber tape with foil.

Day15- Out back. Not sure why i left that seat bracket behind, made that disappear.

Day15- Got rid of those big foils on the inner dash mount.

Day15- Started rust blocking some surface rust and took time to spray one section to see how it looks.
will debate rolling bedliner in on the floor pans. i think it will work.

Day15- Some more of that.

Day15- used up the can to cover up the sections that were down to primer/metal.

Day15- The big ball of unnecessary...

Day15- Not as much as i had hoped but still came cheaper than a carbon hood.

day15A - Short footnote to the weekend's work.

day15A - Another light day, not much time and far less temperature outside so i finished up a few simple tasks. 1st i
took time to pull the shifter cables out. they are done and in need of replacement anyway.

day15A - Blacked out the rest of the floorpans and tunnel with rust reformer. i think its gonna end up looking quite nice
when outfitted.

day15A - From out back.

day15A - Spare tire tub never looked that good new.

day15A - Some more from out back. Complete with portions marked for removal.

day15A - Up front to the footrest and kicks.

day15A - Sadly this door didnt survive due to water damage. Something leaked (or didn't drain) and it rusted out the bottom.
Gave it a shot just to keep it from going further. But I'll be on the hunt for another door, ideally yellow.

day15A - Focaljet road race legend and instructor Brian stopped by in need of a bracket for his race focus off the donor.
Always good opportunity to shoot the stuff and bounce ideas off one another.

day15A - That is all folks for this week. No work next week as i'll be in ohio tuning the VTurbo. -R

day16 - Goodbye donor and Playing with your member HA!

day16 - Started the weekend pulling these beauties.

day16 - Swapping out with the donor car.

day16 - Last time you will ever see these eyesores.

day16 - tight confines on this end when it started to rain some.

day16 - Well the next morning we put the donor up on the trailer...

day16 - ...and sent it to a better life than it would have had honestly. To a fellow jetter who needs a spare frame for road racing SCCA.

day16 - well after running to the county dump and gettin' rid of a lotta focus stuff that was not needed, we got to tackling this in disaster.

day16 - At this point these were the best looking parts of the whole system.

day16 - Well with them on temporarily to get it into the garage, the breakdown began. About 5min after this pic was taken that
control arm got loose and swung just like that and smacked the old man in the head. A nice gash, a slight headache, and an
explanation to my mother were left to deal with.

day16 - The piper is down!!!

day16 - Even scarier than i thought.

day16 - Its probably lighter than the new one, but only because so much of it has rotted away.

day16 - Ok now we have some improvement.

day16 - And again...

day16 - Yes much better.

day16 - The best part of the lot and it was many years younger and a very nice piece to have.

day16 - Wow not alot at all on this shell...

day16 - More wrenches the better.

day16 - Yeh this is looking better. The black paint spots are rust converter.

day16 - Lotta work going on indeed.

day16 - Yeh they came back with the camera to find us still wrenching. Dad using a hat as a bandaid.

day16 - Now wow doesn't that look good.

day16 - More deliciousness and now ready for some wheels and put away for the weekend.

day16 - She won't make Lake Redman but she took a big step. Then i thought...

day16 - Why not instead make the last photo a low angle. -R
