Surprised you didn't pull the hood off. Great progress. BTW use the '05 spindles & lower control arms. The spindles get you bigger brakes= 10'' vs 10.9'' & you can add the svt 300mm if you want later. The arms cause Ford upgraded the ball joints to bigger ones in '05. Or you can get '05-'11 ball joints & use those in the '04 arms.

Day-3 Started the day by deciding not going to for the motor and relaxing just a lil for the holiday.
Also have to sort out where I'm going to the put the zetec for now. Perhaps someone can use it.

Day-3 Freeing the spindles from their axles so i can put the car back as a roller for in between work sessions.

Day-3 Strut back in, soon will be the spindle.

Day-3 Where are the rotors?!?!

Day-3 Almost forgot about these. I'll find them a good home.

Day-3 Yeh i just want that alternator outta there.

Day-3 But i didn't go out the top like the old days... Too much work.

Day-3 When you can let her fall out the bottom. Thumbs up.

Day-3 Ported early manifold. Another great part.

Day-3 Look at all that space to think there will be an exhaust back there from now on...

Day-3 Ok this is gettin a lil outta hand.

Day-3 So is this, pure madness.

Day-3 Took time to start sorting this lot out.

Day-3 Still a WIP.

Day-3 Storage Bin of sorts.

Day-3 Trash pile.

Day-3 See ya'll perhaps next wk.

Synopsis: A good weekend of work. Yes the zetec out woulda been nice but it wasn't in the cards for practicality. Need some storage first. Also needs to assess the harness some as to how deep i'll need to go. May well be that the dash/console and the interior carpet will have to come due to wiring. Think next wk i'll debate gettin the seats out to be recovered or just offloaded, fuel tank out of zx3 (make tank door perhaps) and mounting rear disc spindles. With all these could make room for parts in transfer. Stay tuned.

Most all the wiring will have to come out unfortunately.
Had you used a 2002.5 or newer, then not so much has to come out.

PM me your email and I'll send ya something to make life a bit easier.

Unsure of which direction i wanted to take. i started here...

...to get this bolt out on the other end. Was almost too easy. Sadly the UDP did not survive its extraction. shame.
wanted to pass it on but it happens sometimes.

Been a long time ago i put these things in. Both helped transform the car back then.

Of course it was a pair of them.

Hope to give them a new home.

if you do not know what these are and you want to mod your focus, stop and buy a different car.

Never got around to making this part better than factory. Oh the possibilities that could of been...

Wouldnt be a day of work without some PITA nuts and bolts.

So the front started coming off.

As i've never seen it before...

another 'retirement' pile.

engine bay harness almost free, not long now.

"Look ma! I got dirty."

Ma said hold it up like a fish. Not exactly a fish, but it was a big score.

Lotta work to this one out. To think i have to do it again on the other car and then put that one back in Ms. Yella.

What a mess...

The only good part this company made...

These cams and cam gears were probably tied for best mod for me back then, only my shifter base could match them. Thanks Ray McNew.

Remember getting these 2nd hand and being very overjoyed at the $ i saved b/c i had so little to work with then.

Good night!
