Used my complimentary oil change coupon for the first oil change at 3,300 km

Then every 7,000 km.

First oil change the dealership used their Motorcraft synblend 5W-20. Next oil change I used the Motorcraft oil filter and Mobil 1 5W-20

What is wrong with your engine that it is having such a severe fuel dilution problem with the oil?

Got my car at 50,575 and changed my oil, well dealer did, at approx. 56k, and now it says it is due to change at 62,786 & im a little over due. I believe i am at like 63,500 or so. I try to change every 3,or 3,500. But time and the $45 bucks to change the oil doesnt exactly come.at the same time an oil change is due. I hear people changing between 10 to 15k, but Every car i have ever had has been changed every 3 to 5k depending on the car. I dont really have a oil preference, but to my knowledge my dealer uses synthetics. My father swears by 10w 30, and he has never had a problem. I had a BMW that called for 5w 20 and it worked fine... My brothers have added lucas additives (thicker than honey) to their hondas when changing using 10w 30. I've never seen a difference between any of it. I know the basics of oil and viscosity and what not, but with my experiences...oil is oil, as long as its changed when needed and kept fresh there is no problems. I live in east Tennessee, so no super freezing weather and no sahara desert heat. I guess

I have a new 2 1/2 month old 2014 SE Hatch with no mods yet. Got the oil changed at 1600 (1765 now) miles simply because of all the coupons the dealer gave me for full service oil changes ($15 total cost) using the Motorcraft multi-blend and stock filter. No mods yet so I'm not sweating any 'losses' by not using boutique fluids. In all probability I will get it changed every 4K miles after this early one.

I had my first oil change done at 2908 miles and only because my sales guy told me to bring it in 3 months after I got the car for a complimentary oil change. Probably needed to be done regardless. Mine was an early build 2013 (built 08/2012) and I bought the car in early May 2013; I imagine it still had the original oil.

I recently got my second oil change at 7497 miles so I could get the tires rotated as well. I'll be sticking to the 7500 mile service intervals from here on.
