New Clutch , Need help!

I am looking for a stage 1 clutch below $400 for my focus svt. Please give me links or brands on good clutches that will last 50-80,000 miles. My OEM clutch has +/- 80,000 miles on it and its is slipping bad now.

stage 1 for around $400 is probably not going to happen, did you factor in a new flywheel into your budget? $400 will get you a luk or exedy OE clutch w/flywheel.

For svt I don't believe you can resurface the oem flywheel atleast.. Just buy a luk oem clutch set. also depending on how many miles you got get the oil ring done aswell.

My mechanic recommended it because if it went out they would have to charge the labor to remove all of that crap to get to it again. My car had 71k while original clutch went also flywheel was jacked up couldnt be saved. Since your down there just replace everything to be honest. Don't cheap out or else it will cost you later.

I got a LUK OEM clutch with flywheel set for around that price new. Best bet. IIRC they were resdesigned to last longer.

They were able to save the flywheel for $150 half the price of a new flywheel. The mechanic is replacing the Oil seal behind the flywheel. So that is good till the engine starts to crap out.
