GPS Tracking WAY Off

Quite a few times my tracking is showing way off . Up to a kilometre (canada). I am on the highway and it is showing me on a roadvjust south of me almost a kilometre away.

The culprit is most likely the GPS module.
It's not the first time this has happened.

Mine from time to time shows me about 1/4 mile off in Houston, TX. That tends to make choosing the right exits on the complex interstate system here interesting.

The gps module ? Is that located in the head unit? I hate the thought of them opening up the dash.

It is a separate module.

Unfortunately, there is always some disassembly of your car required.

I have had this problem as well. It normally fixes itself within about a half hour or hour of driving. Either that or the next time I start my car it locates the vehicle in the correct location.

Has anyone had this issue checked/fixed by the dealership?

There is a TSB to correct this. Go to dealer for the update. I had and since the update it is great.
