Pretty sweet work, SNSDan.

Question: If one wanted to *pitch* black out some aftermarket wheels completely (no chrome or brushed ring between the tire and the spokes), would it be advisable to use wheel paint or simply take it to a powder-coater?

if you have 200 bucks, take it to a powdercoater. I would go the cheap route and head to kragen! it would be a lot easier to pitch black the whole wheel because you wouldn't have to tape off the lip, just the tire.
