Lug nut 19mm won't fit all the way in

I bought a 19mm mastercraft ratchet adaptor and it won't fit on the standard lug nut of the Focus 2012.

I almost stripped one because it was not all the way inserted.

Page 316 WHEEL LUG NUT TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS of user manual mentions the bolt size, but not the HEX dimension.

Is it really metric ?

It's a 19mm socket. And for the lug nut get them replaced. Lug nuts are made to strip out before the studs do
