Today only 2012 Focus S Sedan 45K miles, 8700 $

So I went to my dealership where I bought my 2009 for the scheduled maintenance, well I was bored and walked the lot and stumbled apon a 2012 Focus S Sedan for 8700$ OUR THE DOOR. It has just over 45k miles, looks great, BUT it has a DCT trans. Two things I noticed about this car, there is no carfax on the window (every other car has one, and they willing to run a car fax, which is when I learned my 94 Camaro has been totaled out 4 times, and wrecked 19 times) and it did not have their 2 year UNLIMITED mile powertrain warranty.

Is this a good deal, or a potiential lemon. They are trying to get me to trade my 2009 even for it. Telling me that they want the SES trim, and my car sells quicker. I bought my 09 just 4 months ago for 10,700 out the door with 50k miles. What gives?

Sounds like it has some red flags, I would avoid it.

Also you would be going from an SES which has every creature comfort, to an S which has next to nothing for options.

Thank you I just needed a backup opinion seemed way to good to be true. Although honestly the ses just pisses me off. 3 year old car and SYNC already doesn't work. Which is what began the talk because I brought it up to them that sync didn't work already and they instantly were all over the trade. "Instead of fixing that I can put you in a 2012 with less miles and call it even?"

A 2012 S would be a serious downgrade from your 09.

Thank you all! They called me when I was at work and declined the trade. My main concerns were they were not backing it up with their warranty and did not have a car fax for it. I will continue to fight the dealership over my SYNC issues, which is starting to get old, about ready swap out to a indash.
