2005 Mini Cooper S

My friend Just purchased one and offered me to take it around turns. I must say the New Mini S is a crazy little demon on wheels. It's definitely as swift (or even swifter) compared to my 02 SVTF. It seems like a fun car but it maybe to small for my taste. I was just wondering what others thought about it as well.

He doesn't have any pics at the moment, just got it a few weeks ago actually. The car has a blue metallic paint job with solid black top and the two black racing strips on the hood. It's a really nice looking car I thought. I wouldn't consider it a girly car that would be a VW Beetle or something. This thing has some british character in it as they say lol.

A guy in my town has a graphite colored one, and that is a bad little mo fo. He has 1.5" lowering springs, pulley upgrade, and cold air intake. He took me for a ride, and impressed the hell out of me. If it wasn't such a queer looking car I would trade my focus in on one.

Those Cooper S's aren't all over the place where you guys are? The throngs of them zipping around my region were one of the major deciding factors that pushed me to the SVTF instead. I hate being part of a trend.

Don't get me wrong, I think they are great autos. I love tiny cars that zip around (surprise), even though I'm a pretty big dude. I was eyeballing the Cooper S when I was car shopping, but the more I thought about it, the more I saw them running around town. I very, very rarely saw an SVT Focus. Sold!

A guy came to my work the other day in a conv. one
he said that it was the only one in the US. I dont know
if that is true but he also said that he paid like 38k for
it. I dont know about you all but I could think of a bunch
of cars that i would rather have for that price.

Nah, theres tons of vert Minis...Ive done quite a few Lojacks in em.

They are cool cars,a nd you think theyre small, but the interior is dimensionally sized to the 3 series BMW's. They have such a nice feel to them. I havent flogged one, but just driving around the lot - they're really cool!!

I'd drive like the Italian Job on a daily basis... ;-)

I too like tiny cars that you can just whip around...ie; My SC/ NOS'ed Miata!
