They weren't free, just a good deal, and in case anybody else in the future was wondering, they dont fit. I test mounted one on my rim and they don't fit. Not a big deal, my buddie needs some tires for his hyundai tiburon. Thanks everyone for the help and you guys were right! :)

Just to add= That size tire wouldn't fit a Tiburon either.

215/45/17 is was came standard on the SVT focus on a 17"x 7" rim with a -47 offset. If your not running coilovers you might get by using a 225/45/17 using a SVT rim with slight sidewall inversion since the latter tire is a mm wider. I think the ideal rim with the latter tire would be a 17"x 7.5" with a -46, or -47 offset would be a good fit. With the focus bolt pattern I doubt any exist. If your driving 65MPH on a stock SVT wheel, & tire, running a 225/45/17 would read about 66MPH, where as running a 225/65/17 your speedo would read over 75 MPH. A
225/45/17 has a +.35" overall diameter to the 215/45/17.
