Fiesta Red and Black Edtion 1.0L EcoBoost 138HP

So the 1st vehicle to be released with the up'd hp in the 3 cylinder EcoBoost is a special editon Fiesta

Very curious if Ford North America will add the extra horses to the face lifted Focus 1.0L EcoBoost

Since it reads "3 door only" that probably means no. The "One Ford Global" vision was never realized, nor- I predict- will it ever be. There are too many differences in regulations between all the nations. Although the cars might look similar, we're not going to have the exact same models.

We'll get the HO 1.0 (lol), but not in a 3 door. If they did... it would probably sell. I'd buy a Fiesta if it had 3 drs because that back seat is completely worthless for anything but children.

In Europe the 1.0L EcoBoost 140ps will be offered in the Focus and Mondeo, hence my question if Ford N.A. will offer it in the updated Focus.

If they market it properly, the red/black edition will do just fine here in the US.
It makes perfect sense since 138hp is the same power coming from Chevy Cruze/Sonic

I'd like to see it. Kind of like a half ST. The 9.0 second 0-62 mph time seems high to me, I'm sure there are two shifts involved but it should be faster given that it has 138 hp and 155 ftlbs.

Looks too good to be that slow, like a plain girl with lots of makeup on.

My guess is that it's likely much heavier than a standard model and the large ugly wheels could have negatively impacted performance as well.

For example, the Ford Edge Sport (305hp) is not faster than the base V6 (285hp) model because it is so much heavier and uses a different final drive ratio.

The 1.0L should be lighter than the 1.6L, at least in theory. The block is absolutely tiny, although it is made of iron. I can't find info on the 1.6 but the 1.0L has a dry weight of 213 lbs.

The Red and Black likely does have big heavy wheels, body kits, and options added to it for extra weight though.
