Engine smokes from the Front, Oil Burn smell

I am back again i-I just bought a 2002 ZWT Wagon, Z-tec with 120k miles for $500

I drove the wagon home and when I turned on the heater fan there was a burning oil smell. I opened the hood and the smoke was coming from the front of the engine. I tightened the valve cover I cleaned the engine and when I re-started the engine smoke was back. I did not notice any oil leaks from the valve cover. Where else can the oil leak come from.

Yeah the valve cover gasket will def leak notably by 120k. I totally second that.

Time for a new VC gasket and be sure to properly torque it or you will ruin the new one. I.E. too tight and it becomes junk.

Just an update. I installed small washers under each bolt head at the front of the gasket and that seemed to have stopped the oil leaks. Note! the oil leaks were very small. If this does not work then a new gasket will be the final fix. I am confident this will work. Later
