Well I got the 2.3 duratec 2003. Automatic When i did a 0-60 with me and a passanger. Got like 9 secounds or 9.6 (at night)... I'd have to redo the test. Just a few months ago had all of the motor mounts redone and a new revised transmission mount placed. All of the motor mounts were broke or worn.. But I tell you when I floor it now it picks up real quick. I'm pretty sure I can get 8 to 9 secounds now.

Just tried it again tonight on a flat country road and got 8.2 sec with a gps stopwatch..... just rev it to 2500 rpm and let go of the brake.

Thats nice but these cars aren't made for going in straight lines. Best thing you could do is add the svt parts. Suspension, the wheels/tires. Also get a performance clutch n super charge. Wouldn't be worth it. If you want to go a little faster just save up for an SVT or ST (2005) focus and put the money into those. Also I heard the svt with the 93 octane tune does wonders. Better mpg and car accelerates quicker in the low rpms.

I guess you missed my post where I quoted Edmunds saying the SES coupe automatics were different.

Oh well.
