Honestly I'm not a huge fan of putting in a Nav due to an increase target to thieves. I got this: http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-FH-P80.../dp/B001411BZ2

I put it in my Mk1 and it looks very good. Simple design, takes a little getting used to the controls but works awesome. Although I know it does not work with later Iphones so if you have one of those I would stay away from it. Does Everything you want except nav but then again you most likely have a smart phone. It looks AWESOME at night. looks like you don't even have a stereo just lights.

Here's a pic from my car:

Get on a website that sells double dins and see what you like best. Everyones opinion is different, When I look for a headunit I look for sound quality features like time alignment, a nice EQ, good processor, hi voltage outputs, then rear usb inputs cause front inputs are ugly.
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i...r-stereos.html

The pionner 5500 has
8 band EQ
rear usb and aux inputs
3 sets of 4v outputs.
Nav ready
Auto EQ compatable
bluetooth.
