hiss from rear speakers when enigine is running but radio is off???? any suggestions?

I'm in the process of redoing my system, I don't even have the main power cable hooked up to the battery yet, but I can hear a faint hiss coming from my rear speakers. The radio is off, I have speaker wires running from the back of my factory HU to give high level signal to my Audio Control LC7i, then rca's running to my amps, then speaker wire ran back up to behind the factory HU and tapped into the factory harness to power the speakers. All wires are ran on passenger side opposite of the main power wire. It has me stumped cause the power wire isn't even hooked up yet, radio off, LOC and amps not seeing power, yet I hear this hiss from my rear when the car is running, but it does go away when the car isn't running. anyone have any suggestions?

is there power going to the LC7i?

It sounds like a noise floor issue insofar.

Faulty ground AT the head unit connection caused a similar noise for me. Pull out your hu and wiggle the wires while you can hear the noise. I found my problem in 2 seconds doing that!

Whatever the case, you have a high probability of it being a faulty ground connection.
