Help with interior floor trim pieces (2014)

I'm trying to run the power cable for my amp to the trunk. Got it through the firewall on the driver side, and the plan was to run it under the console then under the carpet to the trunk. Didn't work out as I planned, as the backseat portion of the carpet doesn't want anything under it apparently... New plan is to run along the driver side floor trim, where the other cables run, but as it's a brand new 2014, I don't want to break any clips or anything. How do those plastic trim pieces come off? Just pull hard straight up? I've searched everywhere, but have been coming up blank. Thanks!

PM me for my phone number, I'll walk you through everything... I'm pretty sure I'm the loudest Mk3 focus. haha

The side panel pops up(I used a screwdriver and pried)and then the kick and b pillar also pop out. you can shove some good wire down the carpet. I should have 2 runs of 1/0 gauge some time soon.
