Seats

I find the manual cloth seats in my 2012 focus to be incredibly uncomfortable, no matter how i adjust them. Any solutions to a better seat? Compatibilities etc from other ford cars?

I've heard some people ebay or junk yard shop for the Recaros that come with the ST. Apparently they swap right out, but I'd double check before taking my word on it. Lucky for me I find the cloth seats in my 2013 SE to be super comfortable.

Passenger seats are not interchangeable between ST and non-ST. Something about the wiring difference causes an airbag fault. Just an f.y.i. so you don't have to learn the hard way like I did.

You can do it....but be prepared to swap the 'skins' of the passenger seats so that you end up with your original frame in the car. Or, prepare to re-wire the new seat so it works.

The question is what is changed between the harness that they don't easily work? Didn't Ford Racing say the ST2 seats they were selling should work in any 2013+ Ford Focus?

Or was it because your seats came out of a 2012? I'm not sure, but yeah it helps to know the compatibility before hand.

You can use an ohm resistor to trick it into thinking it is on.

The wrecking yard told me that the rear seats and the front passenger seat came from a '13 Titanium. My driver's seat came from a '12 SE, which explains why the headrest posts are different.

If the posts are different, then your driver's seat is a Job 1 2012. Job 2 2012's have the same posts and adjustable tilt as the 2013 & 2014.
