Anyone have any experience with these filters? Looking to go with a dry filter, what are you guys running?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

i am running an airaid intake on our SHO with that filter and have had no issues with it and it actually works alot better than an oiled one.

Thanks for the info. I see lots of posts espousing oiled filters, but not much about dry ones. I'm going to give it a shot. Since there's been a few views since I posted I'll put my thoughts on it once installed (Butt dyno, pics, etc.).

I would definitely be interested to see what you think of it. Which model number are you buying?

Thanks for being the guinea pig

Airaid Synthamax Part # 861-408

Airaid lists it under 2013 Ford Focus, Autoanything under Focus ST.

The Motorcraft Part number for the OEM air filter is the same for the ST and Focus on Ford's parts site, I also contacted Airaid and they said according to their information it will fit. (I wanted to be sure, since I was getting conflicting info)

Quote:
Description:

Air Filter; Replacement; Flange-2 11/16 in.; B-6 in.; T-6; L-7.5 in.; SynthaMax;

AIRAID® Direct-Fit Replacement filters fit in the factory air box and are drop-in replacements for stock paper filter elements. Constructed using the same premium materials used in our Cold Air Intake Kits, these filters offer significant improvements in air flow and filtration while being washable and reusable. Why throw money away on a paper filter each time the old one gets dirty when you can upgrade to a serviceable AIRAID® Premium Filter for often less than the cost of two stock replacements? AIRAID® Direct-Fit filters require no modifications and installation is as simple as replacing a stock filter.

Fits:

FORD FOCUS 2013-2013 L4 2.0L

No idea... You could try contacting Airaid, they were pretty quick to respond to my question about sizing.

Outerwear would make a universal one. I need to get on ordering one because of my intake setup
