I bought the wrong mount.

I was on Ebay about 2 weeks ago and I found a VF Engineering mount. I couldn't keep myself from buying it. My focus is an 05 and today I found out that I made a mistake. The mount is for 08-11 vehicles. So i'm wondering if there is any way to just buy inserts that fit my car. Also this is a dog bone mount. It was a good deal so I didn't get burned or anything. If not I will sell it for 70.00 shipping included OBO.

Better off selling it, get the proper mounts for your car that are made for your car. Vf does make a great lower torque mount. I believe where the mount for an 08-11 sits is slightly different then from an 05-07.

That lower mount should fit your '05. They are the same according to different sites.

Really are you sure Felix? That would be great. I can't believe I made such a stupid mistake. If I could sell it I would just buy a massive ez-mount. If it does fit I will use it.

The guy I bought it from threw it on his car for 10 min and didn't like the vibration. So it's barely used.

There are two different parts for motor-mounts from vf engineering. there's 00-07 and 08-11.

I'm pretty sure the difference is in the bolt size. I think the 08-11 uses a larger diameter bolt and the mounts are designed accordingly.

If you decide to sell it, I'd be happy to buy it.

What are you willing to pay? I am easy to work with. I was asking 70 OBO but throw a price out there.

I figured the bolt sizes were different. So I figured I could put inserts in that fit the bolts for my 05.

You can get the metal inserts from FSwerks...like $20 or something.

Ford did redesign the mount to use larger bolt holes in '08. But if you get a replacement setup from Ford for your '05 it will use the larger bolts. The one bolt on my '07 stripped out so I bought a new setup for it....included the mount, larger bolts AND the bracket that bolts to the engine that the mount bolts too.

If you decide to sell, $70 is good for me.
