There's also a smaller gas ecoboost engine, and that might be what it is, but I'm pretty sure it's the Diesel (OP?)

I wish we had more than the one engine choice here. I'd gladly have gotten the Diesel in my focus if it was available. Better fuel economy.

Same engine as the Escape and Fusion, it's the 1.6 L GTDI (gasoline turbocharged direct injection) EcoBoost engine. No way the diesel is making 200 HP+ from less than 2.0 L of displacement.

Also when the op said it was the 182 PS model that says to me that it's the petrol model all day long.

Yep, its a 1.6 L Ti-VCT ecoboost petrol engine. It's running 20psi boost to achieve this power.

Show's what a solid engine Ford built for it to produce 220Bhp just from a stage 1 remap...

Gotcha. I'd still rather have the diesel myself but it's a moot point because NEITHER is available here in the states! Just the 2.0L. The 6 speed would be nice to have, too... (Without needing the ST model)

I'm not a speed demon (doesn't mean I don't like seeing how OTHERS mod their cars). I'd like the Diesel for the reliability and fuel economy. Along with the 6 speed. But that's two things Americans won't buy, manual transmissions and diesel engines. So it'll just be a pipe dream for me! LOL

I love the stereo setup. Very creative. With the type of setups these cars have, I much prefer 'factory integration' setups over using those ugly dash kits to install an aftermarket head unit.
Slowness is also probably due to me hosting these pics from my home server. Got tired of using free hosting and having dead links.

Thanks for the comments. I was contemplating doing an android setup - as I miss things like album art and favourite playlists etc. We dont have the MFT over here..

This was my previous car - Zetec 1.8 diesel :-

And one of the install I did for that car:-

(build thread - http://www.mp3car.com/show-off-your-...s-install.html )

I dont really like the Metra double din dash - so if I was to go down this route, I would try and make my own dash with the Ford OEM one as a base.

The Zetec S 182 over here comes with a 6 speed gearbox too.

I agree. The Metra dash is the one I don't like too!

You should check out Imageshack (www.imageshack.us). I've never had them delete a picture. I have pictures on my account from years and years ago, still hosted. Alternatively, Google is a good solution. Neither do the silly auto-delete if it isn't view like photobucket and others.

Right. We only have two options, the 2.0L/5 Speed on the S, SE, and Titanium, or the 2.0L-T/6 speed on the ST. I can't get an economical diesel OR gas (petrol) engine AND a 6 speed tranny here. The choices are limited. I'm sure the engineering just wasn't into it, Americans don't like manual transmissions. Not that I wouldn't like an ST, but this is a daily driver and I'm not really a lead foot. So the ST does nothing for me but cost me extra money and get poorer gas mileage.

The 5 speed isn't the end of the world. I'm just envious of all the CHOICES you guys get over there From one of OUR companies that we don't have here. Just one engine, and you can either slap a turbo and a 6 speed on it or stick with the 5 speed (or, of course, the DCT automatic if that's your thing). Several engine and transmission combinations, etc.

Got a few bits delievered today:-

10MM spacers (undecided on whether to fit them)
Dump valve
Focus St Mk2.5 fitting pipe
Powerflex rear engine mount insert

I wanted to mock fit the dumpvalve today, so started by removing the symphosiser hose:-

After a lot of effort, I removed the pipe and the sound box:-

This is how I wanted to retain the box as well as fit the dumpvalve. The original pipe is next to it:-

As the take off pipe was not originally designed for my vehicle, the fit was tight - not 100% ideal. So it currently looks like this:-

Its a tight fit - so I might try and get a pipe that matches the original. I didn't really want a blue pipe - I prefer the OEM look, so may either wrap this is black hose tape or get a new black one.

Also, I priced up some bits for my next trip down to the Ford parts department :-

Centre console mat - 1786086 - 12.23

Ford OEM Lowering springs (Eibach) - 1762707 - 157.13
These are meant to lower the car by 30mm, while retaining the Ford warranty.

I also want to get the ST airbox, as it has two feeds into the box, compared to the single feed the Zetec S has.

Airbox - 1803633 - 29.12
Intake - 5160503 - 4.64
Intake split - 5167301 - 11.33
Intake short pipe - 1745845 - 7.26
Intake long pipe - 5176123 - 16.69
