good price for Focus 2014 S (Automatic)?

Hi,

Its my first time ever purchasing a new car and I got from a dealership an OTD price of 18200$ for the Focus 2014 S (Automatic). I have the loan setup from the bank so the 1500$ rebate is included in that price.

Is that a good price or I can get better? I got confused by edmunds calculators, truecar, and so on I cant understand if that is a good price.

Thanks!

People have different meanings of OTD. Does that include tax and everything? Based on my limited knowledge of TX tax (6.5%).

Sounds if it includes everything you're at invoice depending on dealer fees.

One of the local Ford dealers here has about 100 new focus in stock. Lowest price focus is with manual transmission is listed at $14,399 online.

Thanks guys. the 18200$ was OTD for basic S model (with auto) no options.

With comments and some reading it seems like a bit more than it should and I see 17-17.5k$ will be my target OTD price and will try to get it.

I may well be wrong, but $17k for a stripped model with auto trans, just doesn't sound like a deal that has to be jumped on immediately. I am wondering (rhetorically) what all "OTD" includes.
The other thing I would consider--is an auto tranny "a must have"? That is $1,100 right there. In my twisted mind, if you gonna strip down, why not go al the way? MT is a lot more fun, and a lot less potential future expense.
