Header Questions

Hey Guys, Ive searched through all sorts of threads and couldn't get all the answers.

Okay so basically i have a leak on my header and lets be honest who wants to replace just the gasket. So ive been looking at headers. I figured i would go with the OBX header because its relatively cheap and a lot of people have used it.

Am i going to need a tune?

Do i need to get the aftermarket cat pipe?

Is there going to be any noticeable difference without the tune?

Is there anything that im missing i may need? New O2 sensors?

I currently have a K&n Typhoon Cold air intake along with the Magnaflow 2.25inch exhaust (catback) I want to get a tune eventually but i want to do it one thing at a time since its kinda costly

W/ a tune it'll run better & you can delete the rear o2 senser & egr.
Do i need to get the aftermarket cat pipe?
It depends on what they check for emissions. If they just check for codes, then no you don't need a converter.

It'll run better w/ a tune.

Just use your o2 senser thats at the front & install in your header.
I currently have a K&n Typhoon Cold air intake along with the Magnaflow 2.25inch exhaust (catback) I want to get a tune eventually but i want to do it one thing at a time since its kinda costly
If its one or the other= get the tune 1st then. Have them turn off the rear o2 senser & egr.

the main problem with getting a header and not a tune is the probability of running lean at wot and the issues inherent with that. Car will run better/safer with tune and header together.

It would be great to replace the gasket w/ a new header, but is you can't afford it then just replace the gasket, then start saving for both a tune & header.
