2013 Ford Focus Remote Start

Hey all,

New to the site! Recently got a decent deal on a 2013 SE in Race Red and I'm looking to first tint my windows (that'll come later) but first and foremost I'm looking to install a remote start system before the cold weather sets in here in Cincinnati.

I'm liking this model but I'm on the fence about going with the Smart Start system.

I looked on Best Buy's website and cannot find any information regarding a bypass module for the 2013's. I'll probably have to go to the dealership and get one. Anyone have any idea on pricing for one?

Thanks!

should be able to use a flashlogic flcan module. you can always call an install shop and ask them what they have available for it.

Congratulations on your new Focus, CincyAndy! I recommend checking out these options (with prices listed) for remote start systems: http://accessories.ford.com/electron...ote-start.html

I'll have to run in Best Buy on my way home and see if they sell the module there. If not, there's a Line-X shop down the street and they sell remote start accessories.

It's been a little while since I've been on here but I did manage to stop into Best Buy over the weekend and pick up a Compustar RSG6-FO for $270.00 before tax including install and bypass. They're putting it on Saturday morning. It's a 1-way system with 1,000 foot range but I can upgrade to the 2 way remote with 3,000 foot range for $100 more at a later time if needed.
