Engine Cover install

2014 Ford Focus SE Sedan
I added the engine cover and like the way it finishes off the look.

Skill: Beginner
Time: less than 15 minutes
Tools: 1/4" drive, 10mm deep well

Parts:
Engine Cover: CP9Z-6A949-A (~$50)
Stud #1: CP9Z-6A957-A
Stud #2: CP9Z-6A957-B
Nut/washer: W520201-S442

My images shows which studs to use where. Be careful not to drop one, as my under engine cover was a good catch and made for a difficult retrieval.

Just tighten the studs down on the correct bolts, snap cover onto the three studs and tighten nut/washer on the bolt that comes through cover from engine.

Special thanks to #TWENTY for originally documenting this and showing how nice it looks.

I would recommend, as the price is reasonable for the upgrade in looks.

I got mine through Village Ford, and it really dresses up the engine. I'm going to eventually prime and paint it the color of my car with high-heat paint.

They offered them on the early 2012 Titaniums as standard, then eliminated them in a cost-cutting move.

You should get a set of the Redline Tuning hood struts to compliment the engine cover. I just got them for my car and I will be ordering the engine cover before the (TFR)Texas Focus Roundup next month.

I was thinking something similar, only an accent color. Perhaps red to match my interior.

Let me know what paint you go with, if you give it a try before I do.

Yes... been thinking about these. Not sure how many times I will be getting under the hood to justify the $150. But I agree that they would dress it up even more.

Will do...yes, maybe an accent color would look better.
