Talking Ford Edge Rear Wiper Mod

So I finally did it.... decided to get rid of the terminator looking metal frame rear wiper and go with something alot cleaner:

Here's the before:

And here's the (unfortunately incomplete) after:

I still need to get the Screw Cover to complete the job. For anyone wanting to do this you will need the following part numbers:

9T4Z-17526-A - Arm Assembly
7T4Z-17C526-B - Screw Cover
WW-1412 - Wiper Blade

All in all it should cost you between $40-60 (depends who you know and where you get your parts)

Super easy to install.... the cover on your stock wiper just flips up (squeeze it to release it from the clips inside) then its a 13mm bolt. Undo that, Put some MOOV-IT or something to break the old arm free of the motor (its stuck on there pretty good but just be persistent in wiggling and maybe pry lightly)... it'll come off. I thought it wasn't going to come off but after letting the MOOV-IT work its way in, it came off easily. What do you think?

I love it, even though its incomplete. To help make it look a bit better I spray painted the bolt (which is usually a coroded goldish colour) black lol

Definitely one of the more affordable (somewhat when using new parts, used parts are cheaper lol) small but great upgrades IMO.

I have the new style wiper arm on mine too and I love it. It looks much better than the old janky metal one.Attachment 19517

What's the length of the blade and arm? Looks very similar to the mazda arm I put on years ago?

Looks great, I did this years ago. I got my wiper from Tousley for $25, IDK how much it is now.

14" or 14-D for a parts store replacement. The Mazda arm looks a bit slimmer and better to me, but I coundn't pass up the Edge blade price.

They arent..... the Edge wiper is a bit fatter but they both definitely have that clean look.

How is the coverage? After seeing this I think I am going to the Ford store and getting the stuff. I just want to know if it is going to sweep as much as the old style does.
