Dash board

I have a 1.8 zetech with a dash fault the mileage clock keeps flashing and the fuel gauge keeps jumping when the key is not in the ignition I know the dash is at fault. My dash part number is 98AB-10849 HK can I put a dash in of the same number but the last letters are different and it work as normal?

American Ford part numbers usually consist of numbers and letters
Non American Ford part numbers , from what I have seen consist of numbers only.
Probably because of the different letters used worldwide e.g. Serbian, Russian, Arabic and so on.
We in the USA and Canada can give a VIN number to Ford parts and the correct number will come up. Non-USA market cars VIN numbers do not work on the USA system

If the prefix is the same but the suffix of the part number is different, it usually means a new revision of that part. You could always call up your local dealer and see what part number they show.
