Who cares what everyone else is doing in your city, they are still blinding people and its still illegal. DONT BE LIKE THEM. Get projector housings or stay with a quality halogen, such as PIAA, Hella or Philips Crystal Vision Ultras.

This. I've had mine for a month - they are spectacular. Much better than reflectors.

That guys not trying to be a dick he just doesnt have much money to throw around and buy new lights with projecter housings...a couple replys before someone told me to stay with regular halogen bulbs...would there be reliable bulbs that have the same color as the hids...my main reason for all is is to get rid of that ugly stock yellowish white color

I love my Hella and PIAA bulbs. Both good stuff.

Stick around 5000K color wise and you'll be good. Once you hit 6000K you're starting to get a little blue, but every company differs a bit in my experience. You might find some 6000K's that look perfect for you.

Saying you don't have the money is no excuse. It's like going skydiving but not using a parachute because you didn't have the coin...at least their all you are hurting is yourself, though. HID bulbs in reflector housings are dangerous for everyone else, as they now can't see anything while behind their 2 ton vehicle moving at considerable speeds.

Stick with halogen bulbs until you can afford a proper HID setup. Not only will it not be dangerous, but you won't get tickets for it, everyone you drive by at night won't want to blow up your car with an airstrike, and it'll look a lot better. HID bulbs in reflector housings screams rice.
