It's all good

You may want to be a little more descriptive about your noise, like where is it coming from, the front, the back, the sides of the motor? Stuff like that can go a long way. Just asking what a ticking noise could be is very vague. Try to be descriptive as possible.

Injectors? It's normal for our Foci. Some I hear are waaaay louder than mine, others are mute. Not saying don't examine further, but don't get paranoid.

AND I have a Q on mounts ... in the past 4 months ive gone through 3 torque mounts (tranny) and d river and I had to go to a shop to re-fap my passenger mount. Hmm, now that you said that it makes me wonder if the noise you hear is related to the broken motor mount? Or if something is rattling down in the timing cover from the repair shops repair job?

that's a good thought ..my engine don't knock hard if u take off too hard. I'm going to HAVE to get those Poly mounts ..because I eat normal ones in a few months .. its stupid. But it very well could be louder than I realized do to the vibration of the motor .

For the passenger side mount you should go with the Ford OEM, for the others aftermarket is fine. The aftermarket passenger ones suck and don't last long at all.
