uniroyal tiger paw ice and snow any good??

Hey guys i was just wondering if any of you guys have used tigerpaw ice and snows on your focus. I am looking for a cheap winter tire that will be better than theses all seasons i have now ( pretty sketchy in the snow). I only have 280 to spend and i have narrowed it down to altimax artics for 280 or tigerpaw ice and snows for 220. I've heard great things about the alitmax but i want to know for 60 bucks more are they really any better than the altimax.

Don't know about the Uniroyals... but tigers like snow and I imagine they need good traction in the stuff too.

Altimax Arctics I had on my focus and they were absolutely amazing.

If I was on a tight budget I might give the Uniroyals a shot at that price. Not much data on the web about them though

http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/c...i-99045642.htm

http://tires.canadiantire.ca/en/tire...ice---snow-ii/

But for $60 more and they will last for 3 or 4 years...Pop for the best you can afford.

Altimax arctics have the #1 review on tire rack, I just bought conti extreme winter contacts, but the atlimax were my next choice for studded. The altimax arctics have very very similar tread to the nokian hakkapellita 8 and both have awesome reviews, I believe the arctics have better stability on pavement or just in general because of there inlacing center rib.

I have heard nothing but great things about altimax... but when I searched the tigerpaws all the review were based out of canada...lol and those guys gave them 5 stars saying the were great on snow.and ice and for the price you can't beat them. I ordered the tigerpaws and got them.shipped.to my house all for 250$lol can't beat it so I guess we'll find out......
