Exhaust Resonator Delete Question

Has anyone done a resonator delete on their focus? I'm talking about an exhaust resonator, not intake resonator. It's pretty popular with VW/Gti's and I was curious if anyone had tried it with their focus. I know people have done it with the ST, kinda wanna try it as a cheap alternative until I do a complete exhaust.

Update with video/sound/pics when you do.

You're talking delete the res but leave the muffler?

Some, including me, have done the muffler delete.
Sounds pretty good inside the car, not so much out side.

I swapped mine out for a system.

I cut off my resonator on my mk1, made a decent difference IMO. this has nothing to do with the mk3's though. a few people on here have done it, or whatever the big thing hanging on the bottom of the back is

Yeah delete the res but leave the muffler. I thought about doing a muffler delete but I'm not ecstatic about the way it sounds outside the car and think I would just wait on the money for a system instead of that, I just thought maybe someone would have tried doing just the res. There are some who've done just the res but left the muffler with their ST's but I doubt that would sound the same as our regular foci

I'll try to do it I have to take my tires to my brothers to install and a e focus motor mount while I'm underneath I'll buy a length and clamp it in. If not I'll have to pay the muffler shop to weld it back on.

Subscribed to this thread as I am very interested in a video (with sound of course) of a resonator delete on the MK3. Could be a inexpensive way to get a nice performance "sound" out of it. I don't want the boy racer sound...in fact, I really like the sound of the exhaust with just the Steeda CAI - based on some sound clips. Curious as to what this mod would do.

How does it sound? Does it sound ricey or is it just deeper and give it a little more tone?

Not ricey at all, it's surprisingly deep.

Here's what it sounds like..
