I'm concerned I didn't put it on thick enough... I can still see fine scratches.

I haven't found a detail shop around here that can will actually do it like uv done...isn't that a bitch???? But now that uve done that if u clean, polish, n rainx ur windows you'll find that snow n ice will remove off ur car much easier....we have a lot of ice here n I don't have a garage to keep my cars in n I can tell u its a lot less for me to get ready to hit the road than all the people around me that don't listen....

I tell yeah that clay bar performed beautifully, my rust spots from the vehicle initial delivery to me are gone as well as all the sap and random tar from construction. It really performed well. Plus! The mother kit I bought was on sale! The turtle wax ice also take the shit work of taping the plastic trim away and I could be sloppy and not have to worry it was actually better cause it made the plastic exterior trim look great!

Wax doesn't remove scratches. Polishing and compound does. You also don't want to put wax on thick. Thin is the key. Any wax you buff off with your towel is just wasted wax so try to go as thin as possible.

Nah I wouldn't you really won't see a difference. Is it a deep scratch you can catch with a finger nail? It may need to be machine polished. Unless yo mean swirls? Those also will be best removed with machine polishing.
