Broken Overhead trim?

I got in my car this weekend to discover a nice crack in the overhead trim of my 2013 Focus SE Hatch.. anyone else have this problem yet?

The local dealership replaced it under warranty but the car is only 3 months old and is child-free. Still scratching my head on how the plastic could have cracked like this.

Overheat?
Do you park always at direct sun light?

Moved to "MK3 TSB, Recall & Problem Archive"

The trim on my radio cracked in the same manner. Not as bad as yours
