I have a sedan with a donut spare tire. With back seats flat it is quite comfortable for me. I roll out a thick moving blanket and my sleeping bag. Done it many times when camping. But then again, I am only 5'6". Being short sometimes has its advantages.

This reminds me that I've been meaning to see how the MK3 is for laying down with the rear seats down. I'll report back when I get the chance.

I mean...if you have the space, why not?

I did that during a 16-hour work day once (I'm short, too), sans the blanket or sleeping bag. I lay diagonal, and it worked pretty well.

I would definitely get mattress foam, a blanket or a sleeping bag if I ever had to do it again.

Unfortunately, I'm salaried. We hit a busy period, and I had to cover for one of my employees. :-(

I'm 6', and I've slept both in my ZX3 and in my Mk3 a few times, in the front seat. Passed right out.

I might sleep in there shortly after my wife sees what I spent on toys this week :)

I'm 5'7 and have tried it while on a photography mission. It was miserable for me, the main issue was the two uneven horizontal levels and trying to get comfortable. The Escape is much better in this regard.
