What about the airflow?
Wouldn't that be a hindrance?

I wouldn't think airflow would be to bad, similar to the stock ST bumper anyway. I would assume since its a clone it won't be much different.

I think I am going to snatch one up next week, just trying to find the tow eye cover. Hoping to have this and the new skirts on around the middle of next month!

I don't know the airflow under a ST bumper. If it's the same as a regular focus, then yes, it would not matter.

just an update

I ordered the bumper this morning along with the tow eye cover, the bumper should be delivered the end of this week/early next week. Once it arrives im having my brother take it along with the skirts to the body shop to be painted. Since i am in California for another 1 1/2 months im having a friend install it for me. I will keep everybody posted on everything as far as quality/installation/headaches that are run into. Ill post pictures once it is on, if all goes well it will be a definite cheaper alternative to the "ST" front end conversion!!

Nice!
Hope it turns out well.

Though I don't think I like the big part for the license plate...

I can't say I dont agree...I may look at swapping that out for the US model grill to get rid of it, I am contemplating a light bar though which would cover it up anyway though if I go that route. There is an ST on stnation.com with one that looks great! Gotta love that rally look!

I seen this on eBay the other day. Seeing as some of us need front plates. I think this would be the option to go. I'd rather see this on the front of our non-ST cars than the real ST front clip that has the ST badge.

EDIT: Where did you source the tow eye cover?

If you look closely enough at the photos you can see the notches for the ST logo, im hoping it is easily unnoticed.

As for the tow eye cover, i just ordered it from ebay.co.uk. was like $16 for a good condition used one in the correct color. I searched for hours on google and couldnt find one so i bit the bullet and am hoping it comes in.

Given the cost of a quality paint job; wouldn't it be cheaper to find one off of an ST of the same color? Let's be honest. Not everyone who drives an ST is a conservative, safe, cautious driver (not saying a lot aren't! But some). There are bound to be a few of those smashed up in junk yards across America already. Maybe you can find an in-tact front bumper? Barring that; does Ford sell them painted?

I know in the motorcycle world a lot of times it's cheaper to buy a new tank and fenders than it is to have someone paint the bike. They come painted from the factory. Of course you can always get a quick paint job but if A) it doesn't cost alot and B) you pick the part up the same day you dropped it off; it won't look right, and it won't last.
