throttle sticking

Ok i know you guys might have answered this a thousand times before, but nothing is working for me at all. I've used WD40 and anti-sieze (the silver stuff) i've tried everything and well it worked for the summer real well but now its winter time and its sticking real bad, anyone have any tips on how to fix this annoying thing. I have to step hard on the throttle to get it unstuck and it snaps ur head back when i do. I can deal with it when i'm driving alone its just when there are other people in the car it makes me look like a rookie stick shifter....PLEASE PLEASE HELP

This happened to me when I fist installed my intake. I cleaned off the throttle body and it was fine.

i used rubbing alcohol to clean around the plate. basically you wanna look for dirt on the inside of the TB. do you have the stock tb or an aftermarket one?

Do you have an FC 65mm TB ?

They are known to be 'sticky' when cold.

You have to adjust the throttle plate a little and it's all good after that.

Yea, try cleaning it with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol or TB cleaner. I would go with the swab to make sure none of the crud goes further into the intake.

Well I cleaned it and i noticed that the cable is frayed the cable is a braided looking cable with 3-4 strands broken. Um what the hell do i do now, can i use a bicycle brake cable or is this a specific Ford product? Its the cable that goes from the springiny looking thing on the throttle body across the top of the engine block around to the driver side. Does anyone know how i would replace this ( hard or easy to do) ? thats why is was sticking
