Can I fit an 18x8.5" wheel?

Will an 18x8.5" wheel fit on an 08-11 Focus Sedan? I searched the forums and I found a thread from '06 saying 18" will fit, but nothing about width. Obviously, this is also a different generation. I will not be lowering, otherwise I won't be able to get into my apartment complex. I won't be doing any autocross or racing either.

What's the backspace and offset?

Offset is usually on the back of one of the spokes. Backspace can be measured by laying the wheel on its face lay something flat like a ruler on the back of the wheel and measure from the center hub to the ruler.

Search out posts by zinger.637, he has ran some pretty wide wheels. They can fit but may not be as easy as just tossing them on there.
