Question Fittin To Flip A ZX3. Help?

Hello guys. New to the forum. I recently became in posession of a 2001 ZX3 (2/3 door). This car is a massive beater but thats exactly what I was aiming for.

What mods to I need to do under the hood to really make this car have some wicked acceleration. I'm not too entirely concerned about high end because quite frankly i have no ambition on going 140+. I'll name out a few things and I want to know if its really worth it.

Coil Pack?
Cold Air Intake?
What tune?
I found a Steeda short throw on Andysautosport
What exhaust? (pipe size, exact muffler, etc.)
Can you cam and turbo this thing without too much stress on the engine?
Sway bars? (I know very little about suspension)
What lowering springs are decent?

The exterior doesnt look too great. I'll make it look normal and then I want the engine to blow peoples minds away. Help?

Coil Pack? Only replace with factory, no advantage to performance coil at this level
Cold Air Intake? yes AEM SRI is nice or Volant Cold Air w/scoop if you can find one
What tune? Tom here on the board sells Xcal tuners and tunes w/free upgrades
I found a Steeda short throw on Andysautosport
What exhaust? (pipe size, exact muffler, etc.) I'm a 2.25 man myself but a lot of people have 2.5's. The FSWerks exhaust is very popular, depending on how loud you want it you can get "race" or "stealth"
Can you cam and turbo this thing without too much stress on the engine? you can put more aggressive cams on it but you'll need to alter or replace the head. Cam gears along with a dyno run are a popular mod. Turbo is very doable on the Zetec, but depending on the mileage on the car you'll want to consider beefing up internals et al. Also consider a LSD/rebuilt trans/maybe 4.06 final drive gears
Sway bars? (I know very little about suspension) Make sure your car came with a rear sway bar....it can be put in after the fact but it's much easier if you have one that came with it. You could swap for a stiffer bar for less roll in the turns
What lowering springs are decent? Eibach.

The exterior doesnt look too great. I'll make it look normal and then I want the engine to blow peoples minds away. Help?

The car has 147,xxx miles on it. Define internals?

Turbo puts a lot of pressure on the motor, and makes for a much higher compression ratio. You would want to pull the motor and replace all the gaskets, replace the head, and consider upgrading to forged & cupped pistons & stronger crank & bearings.

Best bang for the buck

Tune
SVT Header
TB
cold air intake

This will net you about 20+ HP

I would also add Motorcraft sp463 spk plugs and a 180 thermostat for a 96 contour 2.0l DOHC Zetec , ask for a 180 and confirm by looking in the bottom its a 180

Tom

I dont agree , I would do a compression test to see what shape your engine is in then if all looks good I would add a turbo and go , more then likely you could get another 60-100,000 miles out of it done properly

You do not need to alter/replace the head for all cams - FR stg1 and 2's fit just fine, along with some others. You will need to shim them properly, get on a dyno to dial them in, and then get a tune from Tom.

Do the compression test to see what shape it's in. Then, if it checks out, add your mods and get a tune.

The cam set i found requires new springs on the heads but the kit is on the same website. I just need to find a dyno around here.

With SVT headers, dont you have to mod a few other things to be able to even install them?
