An issue developed last night....my airbag light won't go off. Since the seatbelt chime works on the driver's seat, I suspected the passenger seat.

So....I dragged the original passenger seat down out of the attic and plugged it into the car. Airbag light extinguished. Plugged the leather seat back in. Airbag light on.

Just to confirm, I sat some heavy garage equipment in the seat and took a spin around the block. No seatbelt warning. Bad seat.

Thankfully, the salvage place located another one and it's being shipped.

Never without an issue on my do-it-yourself projects!!

That's the chance you take when you deal with scrapyards. At least they made good and found you another one. Are they making you pay for the replacement or are they gonna eat it? I would of just peeled the leather off and installed them on your original ST seats, you know those seats are good.

They're doing an even exchange. Said it should be here Tuesday. I thought about just putting leather on my seats, but I don't think I have the patience. I've watched techs replace leather seat covers....I don't think I have a talent for it.

Excellent swap. I definitely prefer the leather seats in my Focus to any other seats I've used lately.

I may even look for a set to put in my Mustang... If you don't mind me asking, how heavy are they? I know some power seats will break your back trying to move em around.

I'm so bad with estimating weight. They're weren't PROHIBITIVELY heavy. I unloaded them into the house, and hauled them to the garage after cleanup. They're just awkward. I will warn you about this...It's heavy enough to gouge the *&^$#@ out of your door sill if you lose your grip on it while squeezing it through the driver's door.

The large seatback in the rear seat was the one that was deceptively heavy. I guess it was a combination of leather, the seatbelt mechanism and the armrest. It surprised me.

Other than the ST logos if you already have a 2012 SE sport package car you have the same seats.

Is the 201A package called the "sport package" as well? They have the same seats as the Ti and ST1, correct?

The 2013 201A package was not called the sport package but the SE appearance package:

Quote:
SE Appearance Package
Ambient Lighting (7 colors, front & rear-door map pockets, release handles, front & rear foot wells, console storage and front cupholders)
60/40 Split Rear-Seat
Fog Lamps with Chrome Bezel
Leather Steering Wheel & Shifter
17” Dark Stainless Painted Alloy Wheel
Leather Seats with 6-Way Power Driver Seat
Perimeter Alarm
Rear Center Armrest
Overhead Console
Rear Disc Brakes
SelectShift® when equipped with Automatic Transmission
SIRIUS® Satellite Radio with 6-month prepaid subscription (48
Contiguous States). Service Not Available in Alaska or Hawaii
Rear Spoiler
It does however still have the same seats as the Ti vs the base S/SE seat, so it's also shared with the ST1, minus being covered with leather instead of cloth.

The 2013+ SE 201A package was essentially the SE-SEL package.

Whoever prints these option package info things need to edit that part. You did not get ambient lighting in rear door map pockets, rear foot wells, or console storage.
