^^^^^^^ Exactly. Competition is good and when it's good we all win. The econo box segment is producing some real nice cars with actual performance.

I've read so much about it and it all seems like flash and no dash really...

Personally, I'm waiting for the Corolla to die.
That's like saying your waiting for the civic to die, it will never happen. Because of 16 year olds eveywhere there will always be civics and corollas. Their cheap, reliable, safe, good MPGs, easy to work on. Parents like all that.

They both get a "performance version" which to a car person is nothing. But to a 16yr old with a fart can almost 200hp is a fast racecar and they can run everything. Both cars have a pretty good after market in the "fast and furious" world.

Better? I don't think anyone said we're better.

I'd drive a new Si. It's a pretty nice car. I'm a bit older than 16.

Obviously adults will own them too, but they will always be great first cars for high school kids I bet that's the majority who buys them up.

No one "said" it but it's obviously true.

Toyota does not make cars, they make people-movers. The fact that they have an engine, steering wheel, and tires is merely a coincidence.

The 2000 Celica could handle like it was on rails. Smooth a butter shifter too. Add the SS kit and it was like flipping a light switch.

Talking about toyota. Just saw on the news literally 1 min ago. They are still having problems and are recalling cars in for rust problems on rear suspension causing crashes.
