Best flex pipe for non svt

Hello, its time for another flex pipe. I think I will put a 2.25 flex on, wondering on some opinions as far as best quality? Looks like CFM, fswerks, and trubendz are the only manufacturers currently. CFM looks to be the best made but with the highest price tag. Also any fitment issues? Any input is appreciated, thanks.

OK thanks Terry. Which option did you go with s.s. or aluminized? I live in an area where winter is our longest season and we see lots of road salt so corrosion is a big factor. I got over 50k on an off the shelf one as a side note. Any idea the mileage on yours?

I'm not sure on the mileage because I've switched back and forth a few times. I purchased the 2.25" aluminized part because of the price. In R.I., we get a lot of the salt issues also. But in Vt., you may want the SS one. I would recommend some thick gaskets, and load it up with Permatex high temp silicone. Trying to mate the flanges from new to old isn't ideal. I've dealt with leaks and had to seal it up after the install.

OK good tips, did yours from trubendz come with gaskets and hardware? I am leaning towards the stainless.

I don't remember. Any parts store will have the bolts you need. I bought thicker gaskets from newedgeperformance.com. But they no longer sell them. I did buy gasket material from Summit Racing also. That way, I can make any gasket I need. It's pretty thick and reinforced with metal between the layers.

Trubendz stainless are really good in my opinion. Bought a 2.5 SS flex and Magnaflow catback from them 10 years ago and it's still in great condition. Their price is better than most also.
