Sync voice prompt problem

Hi all, new guy here. I just picked up a new (13) SE sedan and am having a problem with the Sync system> I have my Android phone paired to the Sync and it makes and receives calls but when I try to use the voice prompt it doesn't respond. I hit the prompt switch and it asks for a command, when I make the command it does nothing, it basically doesn't "hear" me.
I took it back to the dealer but the service dept was closed for the holiday and the salesmen have no clue, which is another story all together. Any help out there?

Mine did that the very first day I had it, I parked it, went in the house and went to sleep, then in the morning I got in it and it was working fine and hasn't done it since.

There's a reset method but I don't know where to get the files, hopefully someone can enlighten you on that.

Turns out it was me. I didn't know you had to say "phone" before you say "call". Might as well close the thread. Thanks!

You don't have to say the device (radio, phone, usb, navigation) with a few of the regular commands. Call being one of the shortcuts.

Call (name) will ALWAYS default to phone, for obvious reasons.

Play Track string) >> Goes to USB
Play Artist (string) >> Goes to USB

Destination Intersection >> To Nav
Destination POI Name >> To Nav
Destination Address >> To Nav

Ninety-four point five (etc) >> To Radio

The only time it ever has trouble, I just say "Cancel" press the "call" button again, and wait for the chime.

ALWAYS wait for the chime and "listening" with the ear on screen. Be patient, you'll just aggravate yourself.

Mine doesn't work that way, I have to say phone or Bluetooth audio, etc. if I say call home it does nothing, if I say phone it responds. Whether or not that's how it's supposed to work I don't know.

Create an account and login to Syncmyride. There might be an update to the software. I just did mine on Saturday. If there is, FAT32 is what your USB stick must be formatted for.

I'm having the similar issue - I can pair my iphone5 and the car via bluetooth, but when I say "Bluetooth audio" it never recognized my voice. Any reason for this? Could that be my accent?

Are you able to listen to Bluetooth audio if you select it manually from the Entertainment quadrant, xuto2?
