Hi, xMarcox,

There's no way to upgrade to MyFord Touch since we don't have an after market kit for it; vehicles have to be built with that system.

Yeah, that's not necessarily true.

It's been done Marco, but at significant costs for those that have done it. One guy happened to plug and play a unit, but most others have gone through lots of trial and error.

It's possible, but IMO, not worth the effort. Best to go aftermarket.

Thanks for your answer!, is there any post about someone has done it? I think if I could find one unit from a crashed car maybe it will work... :)

I have no idea what it would take. There was an erroneous post in a thread - somewhere, after which discussion ensued about the possibility of doing it. I have no idea where that thread is.

It can be installed, here in Russia where there is no such system officially traded we do such installation by our own. I did for my own car also.
All you need:
1. Screen, radio, control panel
2. New harness for replacement or just to take required wires for installation of the system as it works only when it is connected to all 3 buslines
3. GPSM module for navi and compass (you can not adjust date (!!!) without it) + wires and connector for installation
4. Buttons on the steering wheel
5. Some programming at the end.

Better to buy used MFT as to programm a new one you will need official IDS and OASIS connection, in case of a used one you will have an already programmed unit which will be almost plug'n'play
