2013 5-Speed Hatch

Looking to get into something with better gas mileage than my SUV. Looks like you have a great site here. My local dealer has a 2013 5-door SE, Ruby Red, 5-speed manual, no other extras. Stickers for $20,390, there's $3500 in rebates including an extra $500 for being a manual tranny.

Any input/advice/regrets would be welcome. I've always been a Mopar guy but I'm trying to convince myself to buy a car from the only company that didn't take a government handout. :)

I like the mileage and I like the hatch versus sedan. I'm looking at Mazda 3's but they are a little cramped and Subaru Impreza for the AWD (I live in New England).

First off Id say the $20k is a little high for a 2013. Id offer 18.5 + rebates. Secondly I love my car since I bought it last year and have yet to have a moment regretting buying this ford. The only regret I have is not getting the ST when I had the chance. (At the time I was trying to do the responsible "I don't really NEED a turbo"thing)

Take a test drive and see if the Focus fits.
Focus with manual tranny is a great combo, which IMO offers a great combination of fun and refinement. It is a drivers car, so if you enjoy driving, and it fits, I would say you would be happy camper.

That's the thing, I love to drive. I agree on the $18,500 offer. I've got some negative equity in my trade so the $3500 in rebates helps there.

I had an SRT-4 Neon. Love the turbo TOO much, lol.

I purchased the same car you're looking at just in oxford white. Sticker was 19.3k minus rebates and tax credit on my trade I paid 16.1k out the door. Seemed good to me and I haven't regretted it yet. Glad I opted for the manual not only is it fun to drive but after seeing all the dct issues I'm glad I did.

I bought my 2012 5 speed hatch in August of 2011. Short supply and i wanted color and sport package with a manual. In my 1.5 million population metro area not one car at over a dozen Ford dealers..
So I searched and found ONE car in 100 miles.. So I did not dicker and just bought it with a $850 online discount they offered.
So my car was $22,800. out the door.. including local sales taxes..
I think I got a great deal And I totally still love my car.

Ya finding a stick was the hard part. My dealer only had autos so they had to find me one. If they had one on the lot I probably would've haggled more.

My SE 5-Door was marked down to $16.5k, with trade in I think i was out the door at $14k. One of the best cars I have owned recently. Fun to drive and gets great mileage. I would work them down on that price for sure though!

Slow down! $20,390 minus $3,500 minus $500
$16,390 is a great price!
Do your math!
