I am surprised that the consoles from ardst2.3 require some custom fab. He should have put the power outlet where the SVT console has it, then you wouldn't have to mod the HVAC :(

The hvac mod wasnt too bad. i just need a little clearance. I trimmed it with a razor and then duct taped it with hvac duct tape. That made everything fit fine.

However, the short throw shifter I have (steeda) will not work with the console. It hits the front of the console opening....and bends the whole console. I am going to have to see if I can try and shim where the console bolts to through the cup holders.

I would not have bought it had i known all this.

and the customer service I received was this "well I had the same console in my 07 focus, so I dont know what to tell you."

after making 2 - 3/4 shims, notching the hvac and duct taping it, grinding some white plastic pieces in the console, grinding the console shifter hole a bit, buying longer screws for the cup holders....and lots of patience....it all fits.
