Question I really need help here!! No compression.

Ok, heres the story. 2003 svt 2.0 DOHC. All I did this time was replace the ac compressor, rear motor mount, serpentine belt and front passenger steering knuckle. On the way back from the shop, the car died. I pulled over. the new serpentine belt shredded. why? no idea. the car wouldnt start. sounded like the timing belt snapped, just a zzzzzzzzzzz noise. had it towed back to the shop, let it sit overnight. back to the shop the next morning, jumped in the car, went to start it, and BOOM!! the intake manifold blew off the head(fuel sitting on the chamber all night). so i put the intake manifold back on, repaired the broken vac lines and tried to retime the engine. after several attempts at getting the timing set, and the car still not even attempting to turn over(pistons are moving up and down, crank is turning, cams are turning) just the same old zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sound. did a compression test. NO compression on any cylinder!!! am I not doing something right? do i have bent valves? car did not make any noise before dying. thanks for your help.

If the belt shredded how hot did it get ?

pull the valve cover and check valve gap if you bent valves the gap will be hugh as you should be close to .012 if bent you will have .200+

I really need help here!! No compression.

Back fires so bad it blows the intake manifold off. No compression. To me it seems the timing is seriously off and may have serious mechanical damage. I would bore scope or just pull the head.

My guess at why the serpentine belt shred has to do with replacing the AC compressor. If the compressor was replaced, you probably had the AC recharged too? Maybe if it was overfilled, or maybe if not enough oil got in with the refrigerant, the compressor might have locked up. If it did, that would explain the shredded serpentine belt. As far as the rest of it, I'd agree with what everyone else said about timing.

The SVT is well known that why cranking it back fires and blows off the intake manifold

Yup, not the first SVT intake blowing off we've seen on here, that's for sure.

Blowing off the intake has nothing to do with cam or ignition timing

Did you check the valve clearances yet ?
