Rim and tires setup

Just purchases some 18x8' +40s.
I wanted to know how 225s and 215s looked if anyone is running this setup!

I'm not, but if anything, I'd go up from 235 since I've scraped my rims on curbs quite a few times. But I guess some people like the look!

I don't want 235s because I don't like the tire bulging out past the rim

I have 235 on my 18" ST wheels and the tires are flush with the wheels.
I personally don't like the look of stretched wheels a little to VW for me.

How wide the tire actually is (regardless of it's printed section width) depends on the tire itself and the wheel it's mounted on...so keep that in mind while selecting tires.

The 18X8" with a 225/40 definitely won't be a stretch. Most tires in that size will mount from a 7.5" to a 9" wide wheel. If you're trying to avoid the bulge look then this would be the way to go.
