A/C Knob Problems?
I just picked up my polished A/C knobs today. When I try to pull my current knobs off, only the middle one came off. I took the dash apart finding that the left and right knobs were glued on. I thought the knobs were easy pull off and no attachments. Has anyone experience this problem before? I had to go buy a controller for the a/c because I broke it by accident.

Nope, mine was brand new.
Like I said before, the middle one was easy to pull off, but the left and right were glued on. The right side was glued around the inside of the knob that I broke and the left side had a piece of glue that was easily pulled off with a little force.

They shouldn't be glued on, the temperature one you have to reef on pretty hard but either way, they shouldn't be glued.... very strange....

REDFOCZ, if all the knobs came off easy, you certainly haven't tried my car.
The middle one came off easily, but I broke the right one, and we had to dremel the green stuff out in order to fit the new replacement knob I got. The left one won't budge... and this is on a model year 2000 Focus ZX3... |

Yeah i actually was in the same boat you were. I tried pulling as hard as possible and i couldn't get the left and right knobs off. I have a pretty strong grip and i had other people try. Whenever i pulled it i thought it was gonna break. I got the one on the left off with my hand, but the one on the right took some strategy. I had to bite it and pull

So I guess that some of our foci recieved this problem with the a/c knobs.
