No smog laws

I have a 2001 ZX3. I'd like some power to go with the handling. I'd like a lot, but speed costs money. where can I start? Performance chip?

Could you please explain that a little more like your talking to someone that still believes in carburetors?

Altho your 2001 will take a chip your far better off flashing your car with a tune vs a chip , a flash is done with a hand held devise called a SCT cxal3 this also allows you to check and clear the CEL and datalog

I sell them for 399.00 and 20.00 for shipping that comes with the flasher , custom tune and free NA tune updates

I would start with a tune then
SVT header
2.5 or 3 inch Exh
cold air intake
Throttle Body
cams / adj cam gears

A better flow makes sense, but I want to keep it quiet. Wife stuff, you know. I want to get the power band moved up to around 5 or 6 grand, the thing ways 15 pounds, why am I concerned with low end torque? Don't really need more power, want maybe but hey. Really at this point I want to move the power band.
