yes they are 12.5s with a zetec gasket and a decked head and block

thanks tom!! i cant wait. no i use pump e85 around here. they are perfectly fine. i test it all the time and also have a zetronix e85 analizer in the car that tells me in real time what my alcohol content is.

tom is refering to the inconsistancy in the alcohol content of e85. but locally to be the stuff stays very consitant and we have built hundreds of e85 turbo cars that are still running to this day. just test your fuel. I LOVE this fuel but its definitly not for everyone.

Looks like you went back to stock bore or rebuilt to a previous overbore?

The build-up lip at the top of the cylinder bore was left after the hone. Can be dangerous when you change pistons as the top ring landings may not be the same height. Kinda sloppy, but not too bad if it doesn't catch on the finger nail test.

Should be a fun ride!

good eye

thats the chamfer edge

it was actually bored and hones with a chamfer. then sat for awhile and i had it rehoned for the stainless rings. hence the discoloring... so no there is no lip there. plus i dont like it chamfered to much cause there is a big debate on heavy nirtous motors puddling fuel in the chamfer and burning heads/geaskets. so i like it straight on heavy spray motors..

meh.. my measurments came out as follows:

bore 3.3475
stroke 3.465
head gasket bore 3.400
head gasket thickness .027
piston below deck .005
piston dome -4.5cc
chamber volume 41cc (actual measure. chamber was opened up some but also shaved a bit)

coming up with 13.15:1
correct me if im wrong

edit* unless you mistook me saying they are 12.5 pistons? i didn;t litteraly mean i had 12.5. original post said 13.1
