Unhappy lowered my car now struts have gone bad!!!!what to do, help???????

I lowered my car with coilovers about 4 months ago and now that cold wheather has arrived my struts seem to be making a popping sound! my friend has a volkswagon gti and he lowered his and it done the same thing about 3 or 4 months later. he suggested that i order some kyg agx shocks from ebay or any place. he said that this would help because the aftermarket strut would be able to handle the new ride height of the car. If this is true what aftermarket strut do i need to invest in? somebody please help me?????

This should be under SUSPENSION (wish I was a mod) and if it is there already, it's a common NOOB thing on forums. Only post ONCE....

Don't worry though..... it's all good.... but don't post any more about this in new threads.
